TIA Education Ltd is committed to acting ethically and responsibly and to ensuring that modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and exploitation have no place within our organisation or the services we provide.

Our organisation

TIA Education Ltd is an alternative education provider supporting children and young people. We work with schools, academy trusts and local authorities to provide personalised education and support.

As a small UK organisation, our supply chains are relatively limited and primarily include educational resources, technology, equipment, professional services and other goods and services required to operate our provision.

Our commitment

We are committed to treating people fairly and with dignity and expect the same standards from organisations and individuals with whom we work.

TIA Education will not knowingly work with any supplier, contractor or organisation where there are reasonable grounds to believe that modern slavery, human trafficking or exploitation is taking place.

Recruitment and employment

We follow appropriate recruitment and employment procedures and undertake relevant pre-employment and safeguarding checks.

We aim to provide a safe and supportive working environment and expect staff to raise any concerns about inappropriate, unethical or potentially exploitative practices.

Suppliers and contractors

We take a proportionate, risk-based approach when selecting suppliers and contractors. Where appropriate, we consider their reputation, working practices and ability to meet relevant legal and ethical standards.

If concerns relating to modern slavery or exploitation were identified within our supply chain, we would take appropriate action, which could include seeking further information, requiring corrective action or ending the business relationship.

Safeguarding

As an organisation working with children and young people, safeguarding is central to our work.

Staff are expected to remain alert to indicators of abuse, exploitation, trafficking and other safeguarding concerns and to follow TIA Education's safeguarding procedures where concerns arise.

Raising concerns

Any member of staff who has concerns about possible modern slavery, trafficking or exploitation should report them through the appropriate safeguarding or management procedures.

Concerns will be taken seriously and acted upon appropriately.

Review

We will keep our approach to modern slavery and ethical working practices under review and update this statement where necessary.
